mv - part two

This was my first trip to Martha's Vineyard. The island is adorable, I loved all the cute homes and the boats, and the small town feel of it all! I loved the weather, it was all grey and misty. But luckily the day of the wedding was perfect! It was sunny and there was an amazing strong breeze (which felt really magical). The wedding couldn't have been more perfect. The vows were so loving and personal, the toasts were from the heart and so touching. I was basically in tears the whole time. Lilly's brother and sister sang as she walked down the isle. There was dinner and dancing, and Lilly's little brother sang three Elvis songs (he is nine), and Charlie's younger cousin played When I'm 64 by the Beatles on her guitar and sang! Amazing! It was so much fun! Their family and friends are so wonderful, there was so much love and joy for them on Saturday that it made my heart swell.

Unfortunately, while I did get some photos the day before the wedding and the day after, I didn't get any the day of! My camera's battery went kaput before the ceremony even started. Which I was sad about (because every little touch was amazing and everyone looked fabulous), but I was happy as it gave me time to really be present in the moment and enjoy every second. But, have no fear, my friend Jessie took some beautiful photos, which you can see on her cute blog, here

Thank you Lilly and Charlie for letting me be a part of your special day!

ps - my two favorite photos are the fifth one down: Charlie looking out the window at his sister who is rehearsing her toast, how adorable is that!?
And the last one: Lilly standing in the rows of hay bales the day after, looking out to the spot they were married... so sweet.

pss - stay tuned next week for a post on the wedding present J and I made, and a post on an adorable store in MV {see it here}
