full moon // december

Long Night Moon
Tuesday, December 17th, Gemini, 1:28 am PST

The energy of this Full Moon is hitting us hard. Full Moons usually bring up lots of emotions, but this month on top of that it is effecting our physical bodies more than anything. We hold lots of emotions in our belly (especially sadness). You might have noticed things stirring in that area of your body. It might be emotions, or a combination of emotions and physical symptoms. Be aware and just trust what is happening to your body, keep reminding yourself it is a deep cleansing that will lead to deeper healing. Be gentle on yourself and take time to care for your emotional and physical self. Also with the Sun in Sagittarius as a way to move some of those emotions coming up it's important to express yourself: write, sing, speak up! This Full Moon is a hard one on our bodies.

It's also a good time from now until the Winter Solstice on the 21st to do the simple things you enjoy. With the holidays the energy round us is getting more kinetic and ungrounded, and yet if you look at the seasons and notice your body, it is a time of quietness and peacefulness. It is especially challenging to find that with the frenzy of the holidays, but try to keep coming back to it what is important to you. It will help keep you grounded through the end of the year.

Sorry this post is a little shorter than usual, I am experiencing some physical cleansing that has come in the form of the flu! So, back to resting for me. But I am working on a big new year/new moon post on how to set intentions. We are lucky that the first day of the new year is also a New Moon. So, that is in the works. Start thinking about how you wish to wrap up this year. During the darkest day of the year, Winter Solstice on the 21st, it is a good time for reflection and some kind of ceremony, you may want to chant, sing, drum, write... whatever feels right to you, but be sure to light a candle that night and honor yourself and all you have been through this past year.

Happy Full Moon to all!

new moon // december

Long Night Moon
Monday, December 2nd, Sagittarius, 4:22 pm PST

December is here. This past week a lot of feelings have been stirred up, especially near the end of the week and into the weekend. Feelings of loneliness and sadness. You may have felt this, a sense of missing something or someone, maybe even someone you haven't met yet. During this time under all of that sadness subconsciously you have been letting go and healing. It's those deep layers that are being shed, and it is ok to morn the loss of them as you let go more and more and step towards something greater. If you are feeling particularly fragile and vulnerable try to lean into the energy of the Moon right now. Feel it holding you. You are not alone.

During these next two weeks we will be feeling more of Sagittarius' energy. Use this to help you trust the universe and have the confidence to participate in life and the adventures and experiences you have been longing for. It is perfect timing that the moon is dark while we make this transition. It's in these moments of darkness that we must learn to have faith, faith in what we can not see but what we know is there, or coming towards us. This is the time to take a leap, trusting that the net will appear.

It is also time to make your New Moon Wishes! You are allowed ten wished maximum, and they must be hand written on paper. The most powerful time of wishing is within the first 24 hours of the exact time of the New Moon, but within 48 hours will do. Because this New Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius it is a good time to make any wishes concerning travel, adventure, creating more positivity and optimism in your life, and new beginnings. Especially as the year will soon be coming to an end think about what no longer serves you. It's really as simple as bringing awareness to it. And then you can ask for a change, to let it go, or make a commitment to choose differently. But having awareness is 99% of it, where awareness goes energy flows

Happy New Moon Wishing!

I am so excited to share that Freunde von Freunden did an interview with me! I am such a huge fan of all that they do!
The lovely Claire took such beautiful photos of my space and wrote such a thoughtful and touching intro to my interview. We had such an interesting conversation that afternoon, and I so enjoyed sharing with her all the things and the stories that are so meaningful to me.
Please head over to read and see it all.
and on Zeit on-line

Below are some out-takes from the shoot. She took so many beautiful photos.

A huge thank you to everyone at FvF and to Claire!
